There's some disagreement over how the first part of that verse should be translated.
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. ESV
A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. NASB
A man with many friends may be harmed, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother. HCSB
However, all agree on the last phrase - there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. That friend is Jesus.
