Sometimes things have to get pretty bad in our lives, before we realize the full extent of that verse, that God is our refuge and strength.
It is amazing how God provided for animals to survive in such severe conditions that humans never could. To me, it's proof of God's love for all of His creation. In Genesis, after each day of creation, He saw that it was good - or very good! He loves the animals as much or more than we do.
