Draw 50 Horses.is a great book if you'd like to learn to draw horses in something other than the typical side view orientation.

Most books on drawing horses focus on the head and maybe full-length view from the side. This book provides different horse types in action from a variety of poses - different gaits, rearing, bucking, playing, etc.

This provides great practice in drawing the horse's legs in a variety of positions. I find getting the legs right to be one of the most challenging aspects of drawing horses.

Other than a few introductory comments, there is no written instruction. You follow a sequence of sketches to gradually create a finished image. For each step, the new lines you add are indicated in a slightly darker color.
